Good luck to everyone lucky enough to be in FIRST

My name is Leav, And this is what i hope will not be my FIRST-Epilogue.
I’m lucky enough to have participated in FIRST for two years, and I can very honestly say that it was one of the highlights of my life.
It is one of the things I consider defined me and made me who I am today.

I don’t mean to go on too much but just to pass this on to FIRST newbies:
1)Be greatful for the opportunity given to you - you are one of a very very fortunate few.
2)make the most of it - make sure you gather as much friends and experience from this most certainly once in a lifetime opportunity.
3)remember that FIRST always needs volunteers - give back if you can!

I just started learning in the Technion University here in Israel, I’m on a program to get my B.sc and M.sc in Mechanical engineering in four years, then (like everyone in Israel) serve in the army as an engineer.

While I am not able to this semester I am planning on volunteering to mentor a team (full or half time) next year.

good luck to all the lucky FIRSTers!!!

Leav,
Good to hear things are going well for you. I think it is great that you are thinking of mentoring a team. Remember even if you can’t the regional will need lots of volunteers, and I would be happy to have you as one of my referees.
