As I left school tonight I spoke with a mentor on my team about posting a picture of the robot on CD. He gave me permission just the classic “No one in the picture except for you” because of liabilities and things. So I came to the conclusion would now be a good time to reveal our design. It’s nothing amazing nor is it horrible and I was just concerned about influencing other team’s designs. I understand that copying is one of the best forms of flattering so I guess it would be good. I personally think with 17 or so days until ship most teams are nearing a final design if not a final robot and a few teams are already done so posting a picture of ours would not influence other designs to much. Any insight into this matter anyone?
all teams should have a design by now. I would just say post them pics. I have been since we bolted our frame rails together.
I think that you may be right I probably will post some pics up tomorrow… It’s time for a new WAI/Avatar anyway.

It is very unlikely that anything you post will negatively affect you right now. But you may give someone struggling with a problem just the insight and inspiration they might need right now.
So true, So true… That may be one of the best posts I’ve read in a while. I never thought of it that way I’ll definitely post some pics up then. I hope this thread will also encourage more teams to post up their robots as well.
I think one or two teams beat you to the punch.
