After an incredible inaugural event in 2019 and a crazy two years, FRC team 3604 - the Goon Squad - is proud to announce the return of the Goonettes Invitational!
For those that are still unfamiliar - the Goonettes Invitational is a girls off-season event that aims to promote STEM education and training for young girls and provide an opportunity to increase female participation and close the gender gap in both FIRST and STEM.
When: October 9, 2021 Where: Woodhaven High School (24787 Van Horn Rd, Brownstown Charter Twp, MI 48134)

Vouch! This event was a ton of fun and a great learning experience for our students. We have nothing but praise for this event. We won’t be there this year unfortunately, but any team that attends is sure to have a good time.
I wanted to provide an update on the Goonettes Invitational event:
Due to circumstances that are largely beyond our control (the latest surge of the COVID-19 Delta variant, the challenges many teams are facing with student retention/availability and school district regulations, etc.), we will NOT be able host the Goonettes Invitational, as hoped, in 2021.
While there was certainly a lot of excitement surrounding the event (which we are very happy to hear about and share with you), we want to ensure that the Goonettes Invitational provides the top notch experience and unique learning opportunities in a safe environment that generated that excitement in the first place! With that in mind, we still plan on hosting the Goonettes Invitational again, hopefully in 2022!
We will certainly post future updates/announcements and sincerely hope that you will all still be just as interested in competing/volunteering to help make the next Goonettes Invitational another one to remember!
