GRIP with Kangaroo

We are trying to use GRIP for vision processing this year(with a usb camera). We are thinking about buying a kangaroo as suggested here: https://wpilib.screenstepslive.com/s/4485/m/50711/l/488429-using-grip-with-a-kangaroo-computer
We noticed that it has a built in battery. This is not allowed. We were wondering if there is a way to remove this battery and connect the Kangaroo to the roborio power.

Actually, the battery internal to the Kangaroo is Legal. R31 has an exception for batteries internal to COTS computing devices. That’s one of the reasons the Kangaroo is going to be a popular choice.

Thank you for the quick response. Will defiantly be using this now.
