Ground Intake Not Working

Hello, everyone!
Our team’s robot is having difficulty picking up the cargo from the ground. It appears that the balls are larger than what we originally designed for. Is anyone else having this issue? Any advice on how to fix it?

I can’t comment on the design issues, but do be careful of G301, it appears as if the sharp spikes on your intake could Violate this rule.

This is a very gud example of the benefits of Coopertion. With an alliance partner, your robot should be doin an intake in no time!

Try increasing the intake size.

As I sit here in the parking lot waiting to get into the shop, this made my day

My first thought is that this robot may leave parts on the field, and possibly leak toxic fluids. I see at least two potential areas for leaks.

Also, I believe that strap is more than 16 inches beyond the frame perimeter.

Auto will also be a challenge.

This judge awards 3/10 functionality, but 10/10 for aesthetic appeal.

We considered this, but ultimately decided against it since we would be in violation of R104.

STARTING CONFIGURATION – max size. A ROBOT’S STARTING CONFIGURATION may not have a FRAME PERIMETER greater than 120 in. (~304 cm) and may not be more than 4 ft. 4 in. (~132 cm) tall.

We had a similar issue a few years ago. The gear holder kept moving back and forth (wagging) and dropping gears.

Here was one of the mentors trying to figure out how to fix the issue.

Oh no! How did you resolve the issue?

I had this exact problem before with my harlequin Great Dane and a basketball. If you slightly deflate the ball you will be good to go.
