So our gyro is the single axis and we need like a 90 degree cable or a regular one or something. Unless there’s a better way.
If you’re referring to the FRC KOP gyro that’s intended to plug into the RIO SPI port, there’s an easy fix. We remove the connector from the rear of the board, install a 2X5 pin header on the top of the board in its place, and make our own cable using the same tools and contacts used for PWM or CAN cables.
We typically mount the gyro on the drive base, parallel to the floor and mount the RIO vertically nearby.
We have an older ADRX450 or something from a old kit of parts the person above with the links found one that looks like it’ll work
The ADXRS450 is the gyro we’re using.
Yea thats the same one we have we just never mounted our rio with the gyro in mind cuz we havent used one since 2018.
