Happy 71st Birthday Dean Kamen

It’s, once again, that time of year. April 5th. If it wasn’t for the gentleman born today in 1951 (in addition to many other significant leaders), the wonderful program of FIRST would not exist.

“Almost every robot is gonna lose , but every student could win!”
– from Dean First.
This really motivates me in my FRC career.

Besides, as a Dean’s List Finalist, but due to the COVID -19 , l might not have the chance to go to Houstion to have a photo with Dean (but l really really want to go to Houston since l have never been there or even abroad before). And this is my last chance to win Dean’s List. But, l also want to thanks Dean for creating FIRST, which motivates students all over the world to create , invent. FIRST also lets me have a deeper understanding about gracious professionalism, cooperation and so on.

Thank you , Dean. Happy brithday!

Thats a good one. Ngl I never heard that one before. Any idea when or where he might have said that? Was that just a famous one-liner, or part of a keynote anywhere?
