There is a man on my robotics team who is having his 18th birthday on the 29th of Novemeber. I want to get this post out there to show my appreciation for him. He has been a great friend and a great leader on our team. He has been engineering president and drive coach for 2 years and has done amazing things. He has taught so many people and is training the next generation of our team to take over.
He has given our team everything he’s got all 4 years he has been on the team. A running joke between us is that whenever he has a free minute, he is on Chief Delphi so I want to make this post in hopes that he sees it. Please help me make his birthday by saying happy birthday to him!

From a mentor’s perspective, this kid has been killing it for 3 years as a driver, designer, and a leader, and he’s on track for another good year in 2020. Happy birthday man.

It is absolutely amazing that all of you cared enough to reply. This has definitely been my best birthday yet because of it.
I put everything I have into robotics because my team makes it so enjoyable.
I have tons of great friends because of FIRST that I would have otherwise not have been able to become friends with. Many of which have taught me most of what I know, and I work to give the same knowledge to everyone on the team, and throughout the FIRST community.
I have a stellar network of mentors to look up to. Without their advice, late night design reviews and their dedication to the team, our team wouldn’t function. Not only are they a great resource of knowledge, they make the long hours of build season fun.
I am so grateful for the support from mentors and friends on the team. They made me want to join robotics, and are a big reason why I spend so much time doing so.
FIRST is such a great program, that has improved my life so much. I hope everyone else who participates can have as much fun as I have.
