for those who may be wondering…i don’t remember the 8 finalists currently, but the number one seed was team #157, Assabet Valley, winners on the Motorola Quality award.
in the finals, it came down to the number eight seed, #175 Ham Stand/Enrico Fermi (aka BUZZ) and their chosen partners from WPI/Mass Academy #190 vs. the 5th seeded team #126 Nypro/Clinton High and their partners #19 from Bell Atlantic/Greenwich.
In the end, the alliance of 126/19 took the title on UTC Regional Winners, but it was a hard-won voctory.
Good luck to all!!! We can’t wait for the Nationals!!

Well, the Hartford regionals were amazing, and ALL of the teams
did a fantastic job competing both on and off the field. Special
thanks go to the Aztechs and Buzz, for demonstrating their “gracious
professionalism” to Team 19 and everyone else. Also thanks to the 8
finalist alliances: you all played a fantastic game. But the MAJOR kudos
go to our awesome alliance, Team #126 Gael Force, who were such great
partners to us. You all were friendly and cooperative, and together we
played one heck of a game. Congrats to all teams, and we’ll see you all
in Florida!

I don’t have detailed information about rankings or scores…but you can get the top eight teams and their alliance partners from the picture on this message.
For a full description of Team 190’s battles, check out our website. I just updated it with 100+ pics from Hartford and some descriptions of the days.
While I’m here…I’d just like to thank Team 175 (Buzz) for having faith in Team 190 (Gompei). Although we weren’t ranked very high (20s or 30s), they had faith in our abilities and choose us as an alliance (and then together we made it to the finals).
Also, as a side note: Gompei got the Xerox Creativity Award at the Hartford.
