Hatch Panel Price Reduction

Effective immediately, the price of Destination: Deep Space Hatch Panels has been dropped to $4.99.

Cheap is an understatement, they’re less than $5!
Already stocked up from last season? You could always use more!
We free up space in our warehouse, and you get a great deal on some raw polycarbonate!
Pretty sure that you won’t find them cheaper anywhere else.
Act now, while supplies last.
Raw material of this quality and price doesn’t come around often.
Taken the hint yet?
Seriously, what are you waiting on?

You can put them on your robot with no hit to the BOM!

Still full price in Canada. I assume the shipping is what kills it here. :slightly_frowning_face:

Do you accept payment in Fuel?

It would have been sweet if this year’s magic color wheel had been the same OD as the hatch panel.

At the lowest going rate, one hatch panel is worth ten fuel

I would love to see a robot out there with Hatch Panels and Fuel as major structural components. Maybe some Steamworks Gears too.

Wait a minute, isn’t it just the current season’s KOP that’s exempt from the BOM? You’d have to get your structural Fuel via First Choice, and I’m not sure you could get the Hatch Panels or Gears from that this year, could you?

They’re less than $5, therefore not required to be included on the BOM

Of course! Sorry for my silly confusion. :sheep:

If anybody is looking for some Cargo Pods to go along with your Hatch Panels 4607 has you covered…

Not really… they’re fun for dodgeball.

Hmmm… Maybe we will revive Mean Joe?

My Shelby in the Garage is full of cargo pods from that very same event.

Hmmm … For wheels, I think the 19" diameter could pose a frame issue (unless we overlap them?), the NEOs could probably have the power to drive them, but then there’s the whole issue of needing to find a hub that can span the hole … of course you could use the stock frame if you use them as the center of a six-wheel drivetrain (with Omnis in the corners?), but you still have the hub issue …

I wonder if someone wants to buy a bunch and make em into turret sprockets/pulleys…

We were very seriously considering it for the practice bot, but they’re only 3/16 thick so you need to stack two of them for a 6mm thick belt.

Inflate a pneumatic wheel inside the hole.

Our first indexer prototype used the Hatch panel and zip ties.

Turned out it worked pretty good.
