Hate sleep?! Watch the Israeli Regional!

The Israeli Regional starts qualification rounds in ~9 hours!

Israeli teams have improved a lot since the early years of FIRST in Israel (even Looking Forward agrees!) so expert scouters will want to keep an eye out for the performances of some of the Usual suspects like 1574, 2630, 1657 and of course 3339 who fought their way to Einstein field last year for the first time in Israeli history!

See you on the webcast!

p.s.
Allow an old mentor to also mention his own teamD-Bug #3316 as having a unique robot worth looking out for!

You’re missing 1690

I’ll be rooting for our Einstein alliance partners to do well this week. Go 3339!

The Israel Regional is one of my favorite events! I had a blast going over with 1662 in 2012. Every team was kind, gracious, and welcoming to us.

Special shout out to 3075 for hosting our team members in their members homes during the event, and sharing their bus with us to/from the venue each day.

I’ll also say that some of the most creative designs come out of the Israel Regional, so it’s definitely worth the watch.

Good luck to everyone competing and I look forward to seeing some of you again in St. Louis!

Best,

-Mike

Thanks!

Anyone know the status of the stream? Are they planning on putting it online for quals?

We were told it would only start tomorrow since there was a small mishap in it’s regard.

Oh great, now I really won’t get sleep. I guess FRC does that to a person. I loved seeing the Israeli teams in St.Louis. I’ll be cheering loudly from home!! :ahh:

Stream appears to be down, hope to catch some in the morning…

Looks like the stream is still offline. Any word on when it will be back up?

1690 has been putting up crazy points. They scored 117 points (not counting opposing alliance fouls) with 2630 in quals 5 and with 3339 in quals 36.

Quals 36 features a high goal auto, a 4-defense breach, 8 boulders scored in the high goal, and a capture without any scalings. Pretty impressive!

I’d love to see match video of this, but alas…

Thanks for the compilent. the match you mentioned was great, and the only reason more high goals weren’t scored was we got fouled 5 times while trying to take a shot from the front edge of the outerworks. Videos of it and most of our matches will probably be posted to our youtube channel in a few days.

After a few problems with the original setup team 3075 found a different provider for the stream, and tommorow’s final qualifying matches and finals matches could be seen in the following address:

Excuse me for not being humble about it, but the level of play in our regional is among the highest so far this season (if not the highest) and I encourage anyone who wants to see excellent Stronghold matches being played to wake up abit early and watch the action unfold (the finals start at 6am eastern time)

He is more than right!

Will the stream be up when matches start in ~10 mins?

THIS STREAM IS OFFLINE

The second posted link is live now. Audio is faint.

I was told it was turned on a few minutes ago…
Should be up now (doesn’t work on mobile though)

Congrats to 3339, 1690, and 4744!
That last finals match was so intense!

1690 has one of the most impressive robots I’ve yet seen, with byfar the best outer works shot of anyone I’ve seen. And 3339 is hella smart, but I already knew that. Congratulations!

Congratulations to 1690, 3339 and 4744 for winning the regional!!

In our first semi final our shooter took a hit and the top wheels’ axle got bent quite a bit, with no time to change it to a new one our shooting precentage dropped but we still managed to get most of the balls in the high goal.
This game is rough as hell and the robot had to withstand endless beatings by both the field and our opponents.

We had a great competition and would like to thank BumbleB #3339 for picking us to be their alliance partners and Ninjas #4744 for being a great defender and the perfect fit to round off our alliance.

Videos of more of our matches will be uploaded to our youtube channel so stay tuned for these…
