Naw, Cheesy Poofs probably just want a quick pink powder coat
Man, they are taking this âPinkPoofsâ joke a long way.
in that case, i think i was supposed to accompany it - no robot should fly alone
we tried to track ours also and couldnât find it so weâre kinda stuck also
Just adding to the information:
Team 171 (Platteville, Wisconsin) robot crate just was delivered by FedEx about hour and half ago. Really surprised to see it show up today after reading other posts in this thread earlier in the day.
Team 2468, Austin, Texas received our crate on Thursday afternoon at 2:00, April 24th.
Ours got lost in transit to Atlanta so we were excited to get it back. We are taking it to the School Board meeting next Wednesday night.
Our robot isnât even in Fedexâs tracking system yet either. We must be 340th in line to ship out.
Ourâs isnât in the tracking system yet eitherâŚ
Checked again. Not on the system.
WHERE IS OUR ROBOT!!!
Sounds like the FedEx Shipping Order Randomizer puts both the Alliance Pairing and Ball Randomizer algorithms to shame.
Sorry, Iâm just in a snarky mood and couldnât help myself. No word on ours, and weâve got demos Monday, Wednesday, and Friday next week. Good thing last yearâs 'bot is running smoothly.
Itâs a little hard to complain about timeliness, given the shipping is free. :o
According to the FedEx Freight cost estimator, it would cost about $2K to have our 600 lb robot crate shipped from Atlanta to LA.
Fortunately, we donât have any demos planned until May 8-9.
Got a call from Fed Ex this morning. Our crate will be delivered on Monday. We brought the robot home with usâŚwe had a demo yesterday.
âŚand this is why itâs important to keep at least one robot from previous years in healthy, working order boys and girls.
that and driver practice
both moot points if you have a practice bot
Actually, it wasnât entirely free for us.
Iâm not complaining, Iâm just poking fun.
Since we have our event annually, they already saw last yearâs bot.
Keeping our fingers crossed.
Does your crate ship via air? If so, that must cost $$$$!
Our robot was delivered this morning. I imagine every other teamâs robot will be showing up shortly.
Thank you FedEx!!!
Using an AIRBILL to get our robot from Portland (Week 1) to Hawaii (Week 5), our tracking number was useless for 2 weeks and our robot was MIA for that time before it was finally discovered to be on a boat instead (showed up the Monday before our Week 5 regional). Not sure where the decision to disregard the airbill was made. Weâre not holding our breath for our bot to show up anytime soon from Atlanta even though thereâs an airbill on our crate once again.
2415âs located in North Atlanta, and we havenât gotten our robot back yet either. We were going to steal our robot and just dump random stuff in our crate, but that didnât exactly work outâŚ
Good luck for all your presentations! We had one on Tuesday, without our robot, and we made fools of ourselves. But our school was never really that receptive to Robotics in general, so whatever.
The Iowa and Wisconsin bound robots stuck together. Ours was delivered mid day Friday also.
As the attached picture shows, 525 & 93 travelled next to each other from Minnesota to Atlanta and they apparently travelled together back from Atlanta as well.
Reviving an old thread?
Has anyone got their robot back yet from Atlanta?
OR,
Has anyone not had their robot shipped yet from Atlanta?
Ours doesnt even show up on the Fedex tracking, where I am assuming it hasnt been shipped yet. Its much later than last year.
With upcoming demos and events, its going to be close.
2970 has ours, just in time to make it into the Kenosha News.
