This is outta curiosity. When the whole IT thing went completely out of hand several months back, I remember defending Dean from people saying it was just some crazy media hoax, and that Dean was a fraud, blah blah blah, without even having researched his credentials or knowing much about the guy. I was just wondering if you guys have had to do that yet? Or have done that already and what kinds of thoughts people had that you went up against.

yeah, i had to do that on theitquestion.com a couple of times. the people were badmouthing him and comming up with some rediculious ideas. they cancelled my account soon after i tried to set them straight.
Yea, I’ve had to defend him a couple of times when talking about him to people around town and stuff. There are people that think he’s a total nut and shouldn’t have the money or prestege that he does, while I believe that (along with every other person in FIRST I think) that he deserves everything he has and more.
No. Most of the people I know who would know anything about Dean are already involved with FIRST so they wouldn’t say anything negative about him or IT. It’s kinda handy though, because it’s better to educate someone about that which they have no concept of than of something they have preconcieved notions. Sorry that last sentence is awkward to ead, I was trying to eliminate the preposition at the end.
