Have you heard of 237's G.U.N.N. Show?

Last year at Nationals in Florida, the GUNN Show was born.
What is the GUNN Show you ask?
No it doesn’t have anything to do with firearms or even a certain FIRST team from California, it is simply an idea that was started by a simple comment.

One of our drivers was flexing his muscles in the airport in Fla. last year waiting for the rest of the team, and he said something to the effect of, “Hey, look at these Gunns”.
The GUNN Show evolved from that simple one man show to getting GUNN Show Guys to go to random groups of people at Nationals and getting them to join in on the fun of flexing their muscles with us. It was 237’s way of bringing a little team spirit to FIRST.

From then on, we have taken the GUNN Show to every event we, as a team, have participated in.

But like all good organizations, we have a problem. Last year during nationals a note was left taped to one of our hotel windows at the All Star Sports Hotel and we have no idea who wrote it. The note is
HERE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE
If you know who wrote this please contact me or another GUNN Show Guy!

Also, this year, the GUNN Show guys have a team goal to get a GUNN Show picture with every single FIRST team we meet. We will hunt you down to fill our quota if necessary!

Also, check our GUNN Show site regularly for updates, you may be on our website soon enough if you joined us in a GUNN Show last year. Please sign our guest book as well if you feel inclined to do so! Oh and if you are curious as to what the acronym GUNN exactly stands for, check the site. HERE

Hey, Do you want free tickets to the gunn show??

You know you do.

I hate to disagree with you…but i believe the gun show was started in 2000 with Team 60, the bionic bulldogs…cause they were in the same hotel we were in, and ran around asking if we wanted tickets to the gun show…

Oh, by no means are we saying we were the first to start giving free tickets to gunn shows. I know the gun show has been around for a while. We just organized a copyrighted group based on the gunn show.

my guns are illegal in all of the continental us…um…wait:ahh: …u guys do it better than me:yikes:

Bad

This has got to be one of the oddest things that FIRST has spawned off.

hahahaha okay…well keep the gunn show alive…it cracks me up everytime i hear it!!

Laughter is the best fix for life’s little annoyances.

As the famous CEO of Vin Tech and IBN Scouting Service, I proudly support the U.S FIRST Students of Team 237. This team is represented by Sie H20 Bots. I fully support the GUNN Show Guys and their whacky antics.

Keep up the good work dudes!

Hmm…I don’t believe ‘gunns’ are allowed in airports. Looks like I’ll be going through :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyone remember crowds of people yelling ‘HEEEEEEEEYYYYYY’ Yeah? That was all me. People kept yelling HEY to other teams or just other parts of their own team…nobody was yelling at us. So I just started randomly yelling “HHHHHHEEEEEEEYYYYYY” and the rest of my team joined in…along with other teams. Much fun. That was during the team party in Epcot.

Do you guys think that the GUNN show might get better this year?

I am sorry to say but i believe you are not the one who started the whole hhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyy chant as it was started by team 238 last year, we started this chant before we were even in florida and when we started saying it even more while we were at epcot among our own teammates many other teams picked up on it and pretty much stol it from us and claimed that it was them who came up with it…so i am sorry but you r wrong and the HHHHEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYY was originated from team 238 straight out of Manchester, NH.

The GUNN Show should only get bigger this year.

And HEEEEEEEEEEEYY, whoever started it, It was a great time at the EPCOT Party.

Ehh…whatever…Maybe we both came up with it…‘HEEEEEY’ isn’t a very original chant, anyways. All I know is I got a HELLUVA lot of people doing it as we exited the team party and the next day in a water park on the lazy river

I guess great minds think alike…or maybe this was just a freak coincidence

Wow, I thought 237 started the whole Heyyyyyy thing??? Now I am totally confuzzled!!!

Oh well, who cares who starts cool things like that, as long as there are other teams to carry on these cool traditions then FIRST will never lack team spirit!

As for the GUNN Show this year, If your team is at NYC Regional or Houston, then be on he look out for us. I have posed a challenge to the GUNN Show. I want a GUNN Show Picture with every team that is there at those events. Oh and the GUNN Show might just be making a special appearance at the UTC Hartford regional as well.
The TRIBE of Team 237 will not be at Hartford, but I think the GUNN Show will be there to pose and also help out needy teams, but more on that later.

I as Desert Eagle, as well as GUNN SHOW DUDA accept your pety challenge, and to all the teams (especially the female members  ) if you want your picture taken with the GUNN SHOW GUYS, you will just have to find us OH YEA!

Guess what? Team 48 started doing the exact same Heyyyyyy!!! thing in 2001, and that started when a couple of robotics students went on a band trip to Florida a couple weeks before Nationals. And I’m sure other teams did it before us. It doesn’t matter!

Point is, the Heyyy thing’s been around for awhile, definitely before last year, and just like the world may never know how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop, the world may never know who originated the “Heyyyyy!!!”. Should we really care? It doesn’t matter!

Yeah. “HEEEY” rules. What better way to get hundreds of people making a helluva lot of noise

Actually, ‘HEYYYYYY!!!’ stated as a tribal chant of young cave men who gathered in places of enjoyment while grunting about the latest thing called ‘Math’. Following latter in history, when people walked across the land bridge from Russia to America, when they saw the other side they all said, ‘HEEEYYYY!!!’. Latter on in history, while Christopher Columbus was coming back to the new world, he greeted the queen of Spain, Chris said ‘HEEEYYY!!’ and the queen said back ‘HEEEYYY!!’. A few more decades pasted before the American revolution (or a helluva lot of decades), and now we are seeing the Continental Congress. As each person goes up to sign the Declaration of Independence, everyone then said, ‘HHEEEYYY!!!’. Down the line some more and we then find ourselves traveling to the moon. Neil Armstrong said as he walked on the moon 'One small step for man, one giant HEEEYYY!!! for man kind"

Of course, I could be wrong…
