Hello.. Front Page news from Mars

It really amazes me that that this isn’t front-page news everyday, but today it is.

The front page of today’s New York Times has a great article about the Mars Rovers.

Remember them… Still running 300 percent longer than what they hoped for. WOW

This doesn’t happen every day. Something that works, something that works better and better as the days go by. WOW.

Thanks to all of those working on the Mars Rovers and especially to Dave, who teaches us not to worry, it’s only rocket science.

It’s been ages since I’ve heard news on the rovers. Thanks for posting the link.

I’m not sure if I’m more surprised that they’re still running or that they’re working better than they were before. Both are good, to be sure, but it’s just so mind-boggling…

This is part of why I’m leaning towards aerospace engineering as a major. I’d love to be part of something like this in my life…especially if it works as well as Spirit and Opportunity have.

That’s actually a very cool thing to see.

One thing I’m curious about with Bush being re-elected is if he’ll hold true to his space exploration plan. Was it humans on Mars in 20 years, or something like that?
