I was asked to start a thread about this person and their efforts…
Support him if you feel you can. By way of Gail Alpert Team 469.
Evan Kasprzak, son of former Team 469 mentor Jim Kasprzak, will be on “So You Think You Can Dance.” The Kasprzaks are very close friends of mine. Evan is an outstanding dancer and a wonderful person.
The show airs on Wednesday evenings at 8 on FOX.
Both Evan and his older brother, Ryan, a dancer and choreographer, auditioned for the show in Memphis and made it all the way to the final 32 in Las Vegas. The top 20 dancers (10 male, 10 female) were selected tonight to compete live on the TV show. The judges decided that because their dance styles were similar, there was only room for one of them. Ryan was told that the choreography he created for Evan’s solo, was responsible for Evan making the show.
Like American Idol, the show requires the public to call-in their votes for two hours following the show. Programmed calls are not allowed.
Please pass the word to anyone and everyone you know to vote for Evan Kasprzak as many times as they can during the two hours following the upcoming Wednesday shows. The winner receives $500,000, a new car, and a tour with the top 5 male and female dancers.
Wow. My family and I love that show. We were so upset when they didn’t take both of the Kasprzak brothers. To find out they have a FIRST connection is amazing since Evan was already my favorite guy for the season. Evan is an amazing broadway style dancer, but was able to perform excellently in every other genre the judges threw at him.
Best of luck to Evan! I’ll be voting!
BTW, in addition to the car, money and tour, the winner has dance companies beating down their door for them. It’s a chance of a lifetime that continues paying off.
I had to tape that show this week and finally got to watch it tonight… Ryan has been one of my favorites from the start! Besides being a good dancer, he’s got “likability” and I was very happy to see him make it and wish his brother had too. Even without a FIRST connection, I think people should watch this show because not only is the way people move their bodies fascinating and beautiful, but the passion and dedication they dance with is inspiring… imagine what the world would be like if everyone had that much drive…
