Remember how I said that most of my posts are fluff? Well, this isn’t one of them…this is a shameless plug
If you dont know already, Babson is a business school (yes, I know, strange for a FIRST-er)…but my management course is set up so that I will be part of an actual business that I helped start from late Januaury to April. (And no, I havent strayed too much from FIRST, I was elected VP of Information Technology of the company.)
Anyway, the company I am part of is selling high quality 100% cotton hospital scrub pants for 15$ each. All the profits go to the local hospital’s childrens’ ward.
Shipping to you is free, and we can put your logo on the pants for no extra cost, as long as its one color and all the royalty issues are dealt with beforehand.
The pants come in small, medium, and large, and in a variety of colors (ask me for more info on both). They are drawstring with a bit of elastic at the waist.
If you’re interested in cladding your team in scrubs this year, email me @ [email protected]. We’d be happy to answer any questions you may have about the product or our company!
Thanks for listening, and I hope to be hearing from a lot of you!
SIGN ME UP!! I can’t really speak for my entire team at the moment but it sounds like a great idea to me and I guess hospital scrubs are making a fashionable come-back, so why not? hook me up!
I would love to have one as well. Not just a normal one without any logo or team number because I am no longer working with just one team… But one that says: “Ken Leung, Unofficial Captain of team 000!!!” Unless there’s objections from people about this, especially people in team 000. And I will need a logo too…
But I will be glad to just help promoting these pants among west coast teams.
Hey Ken, why not just get your name and some little FIRST thing put on em? I thought about the FIRST emblem but then you would have probs with copyright. You could prolly just have F.I.R.S.T put on em though. I think you should put I get mad props on them though, that’s just my opinion.

I’ve recently been reading up a lot on copyright info with FIRST and Windows XP (the whole background fiasco). They still haven’t sent me an email… Anyway, my interpretation (which may not be right), is that FIRST is cool with it as long as it is not portrayed in a negative way, nor altered at all (colors…B&W is ok though), but especially in such a way as to suggest that FIRST is endorsing some sort of product. It might not be a bad idea to send them an email to get it official, but I don’t think you’ll have too much of a problem. Btw, I’m going to ask about the team getting some scrub pants at the next meeting
