Hi there!
We, as a team, planned to use plenty of Neos and Spark Maxes this season in our robot. During the build season, we encountered several electrical problems during trials that caused damage to the electrical boards of our Spark Maxes. Unfortunately, we couldn’t figure out the reason for these issues.
As a team based in Central Europe, we find it challenging to source these parts, especially during the limited time in the build season. Therefore, we are seeking assistance in identifying the exact component models so we can purchase some spares and repair our controllers. Can anyone who knows the component numbers help us?
im not a rules expert by any means, but this may be illegal i know motor controllers cannot be modified idk if fixing it would be considered modifying it or not. someone with better understanding of the rules can jump in. The only time we destroyed a spark was when we wired it backwards, or had it on brushed mode within the setting, make sure both those are set setup correctly on future spark maxes.
That said, I would only do this if I had no other option. @Greg_Needel can you have one of your crew hop in? @ArdaTurkmen have you contacted REV Support yet?
Thank you both @sk2983 and @EricH for pointing this out.
We wouldn’t risk it either way to use a repaired motorcontroller in a match. The plan it to see if we can get it to work again and swap it with a controller on an older robot.
