This is our rookie year, and we are considering using a dashboard. We plan to use either Shuffleboard or Elastic, but we are experiencing issues with plugin installation. Could you explain this matter in detail?
Please explain the issues you’re having. What youre trying to do, what youre expecting to happen, what its actually doing… Include any errors you receive, perhaps a screenshot.
Highly recommend Elastic over Shuffleboard, though both work

Its your rookie year! Focus on the robot, not the dashboard!
As for advice, use AdvantageScope for programming stuff and Elastic for driver stuff

Shuffleboard does support plugins for adding custom widgets, but that’s something I definetly wouldn’t spend time on right now.
agree, nobody looks at the dashboards anyway.
if you really need indicators (e.g. “intake success”) then put a light on the robot itself: that’s what everyone is watching.

I was just experimenting on my own in my free time. I’m not particularly focused on dashboards. Thank you for your advice!
