HELP: Israeli team 1577 Need Batteries for Houston!

Hello,

We’re Steampunk 1577 from Israel.
We’ve qualified from the Israeli District, and we are attending Houston Championship.

Due to safety reasons we’ve a hard time to bring batteries with us to the United States.
We are looking for teams who attend the Championship and can lend us a few, we will be very grateful!

Some other things besides batteries that could be really helpful:

  • Batteries charger
  • Robot cart
  • Batteries stand
  • Foldable table
  • Foldable shelves (or any kind of storage unit)
  • Power strip
  • Extension power cord
  • Soldering iron tool, Glue gun &
    Heat gun
  • Clamps
  • Lighting stands and/or lighting projectors

Please contact me here or via PM.
Thank you!

Semi crazy question: it sounds like what you really need is a complete pit… My team is the closest geographically to worlds, but I’m not expecting we will qualify. I can ask my team about loaning you some or all of our pit. Of course, you’d have a lot of orange around

What are the lighting stands for?

This is really generous offer, it’ll be great if you can help with that (although I prefer and hope your team will qualify).

In our pit structure we hang projectors, and in case we can’t get a pit structure, we can use lighting stand as replacement.

We’ve got a “superpit”, robot cart, and toolbox that make up our usual pit; no stands or framework for projectors.
I assume you are running the standard Anderson connector on your batteries? That’s what we use…
Here’s our pit full of robot:

As I mentioned, lots of orange!

We’re shipping two or three batteries in the crate and buying at least four more to be delivered there with plans to bring them back with us. That’s what we’ve done in past years and it’s worked out fine for us. In the worst case if we need a lot of batteries back-to-back we’ll ask to borrow from our pit neighbors.

Our team has power strips and extension cords and we will probably bring extra, pm me if you haven’t found someone who can lend those and we can stay in touch and see what we can do!

Yeah, I love that spirit! Everyone around you in the pits would hand you their last 1/8" Allen wrench to get your bot out on the field!

OK, its a “go for launch”! Assuming we don’t make it to Worlds we will loan 1577 our pit!

That pit looks really good. It appears ready to roll out to Einstein, if when 1577 needs it.
