help us shrink our animation size

does any body know some kind of program that can help us shrink our animation size

I’ve never put together the animation for submission before, but I have had video editing experience before. What you are looking for is called VirtualDub. It is a very efficient program for compressing video. Import your video into VirtualDub and process the video and audio using any number of compressors. If you have any trouble, PM me and I’ll help you the best I can!

Our team had this problem last year and never figured it out. I think you need to render the animation into segments and then combine them after. Not sure though.

If you have access to Adobe Premiere, use it to splice your video together and then make sure that you render it out in the correct codec that’s required by the rules.

There’s also a thread from last year that will help you too - here

Is it in Quicktime DV-NTSC format? There are a number of Quicktime formats but if it’s not DV-NTSC it’ll be disqualified.

When you render a .MOV from Max under “Files…” there is a Setup button that lets you pick the type of Quicktime format, and a slider bar that lets you choose the compression quality. The higher the quality the larger the file size.

Video editing programs also have a similar setup screen.

If your animation consists of no motion, then it’ll be a small file. How’s that for a good suggestion?

try using animated gif’s…
