My team is competing in the Sac regional, and we need some help figuring out our vision system. We’re using PhotonVision on a Pi 4 8gb, with a SnakeEyes FarEyes hat with a NOIR camera. We had everything working beautifully on a Pi 3B, but when we switched to a Pi 4 for the POE capabilities the camera stopped showing up in the PhotonVision web interface. The pi camera ribbon cameras are extremely temperamental. I would try borrowing a USB camera and see if that solves your problem. There also may be an issue using a Pi3 card in a Pi4. I cannot remember. Those are the two things I would check first.
Update on this: I’m going to just rollback to using the Pi 3. However, any suggestions are still much appreciated as the Pi 4 would work much better in our system.
I’m not sure about your setup, but I use snake eyes with the pi 3b+ and with PoE. The advantage for the 3b+ is the gpu acceleration in photonvision.
