Hi, I was wondering if anyone here knew the phone number for the Mansfield Robotics Program. There site seems to be broken at the minute.
Hi Todd,
It looks like there are a few people registered on ChiefDelphi from Mansfield Robotics:
If you click on one of the above links (you will be redirected to their respective CD.com profile pages) you should be able to send them a Private Message, E-mail (through Chiefdelphi.com - it won’t give you their actual email address) or, if they have it listed, you can contact them through AIM.
Good luck!!
Thank you for this reply, I’m trying to see if I can get on the team soon.
Also, in the case that no one is responding quickly enough for you, you may wish to check http://www.archive.org for an old version of their website to look up the number there (if it was ever listed). In general that’s a pretty good site for getting information from sites that are down when you want them and for old versions of sites which are still up.
I looked at that website, and tried to find http://www.mansfieldrobotics.com/ but it was not there. Anyone else have any ideas for me to get in contact with them?
Also, sorry to the people that thought Mansfield, CT. I want the number for the Mansfield, MA team. Thank you.
Well, if it’s not at archive.org, you could always try Google; but from my search there I wasn’t too successful at getting a phone number (it didn’t seem to be listed on their message board). So, I’m not sure that there’s anything you really can do aside from perhaps trying to e-mail webmaster@mansfieldrobotics.com (which may or may not exist as a valid e-mail address) to tell him/her that the site is broken and ask for the phone number.
P.S. maybe when you find the contact info you should update their FIRST Wiki entry to make it easier for other people in your situation later.
I may just help the webmaster, since I program online too. Hopefully I can get through to Tim.
I dont know how far from Pawtucket or Providence but there are teams in both cities (1568 at Tolman High School and 1350 at Lasalle acadamy) I know we are willing to take students outside the district however I dont know about lasalle, If you are interested let me know either PM me or email me at James_brown830@yahoo.com
hmm my friend lives near pawtucket, he says its about 15 minutes from here. How far is it from cumberland would you say. I am a programmer, and i really wish to take part.
From Cumberland between 10 and 20 min depending where exactly you are(and traffic) do you have experience with c? I am the only programmer for the Pawtucket team and Honestly I am not that great, (every thing I know I taught my self and that is just enough to be functional, My code is sloppy) If you want to learn more I can give you my phone number or Screen Name on AIM (jamesbrownssn) Your location is listed as North Attleborro, to give you an idea of distance It takes 15 to 20 minutes for me to get to Emerald Square Mall. Maybe 2 or 3 more to get to Showcase. I hope this helps.
Yep, I’m on the border of Cumberland, which is closer than The ES Mall, that’s why I asked. Mansfield isn’t a good option, because of the meeting times. So I’ll check your team out. I’m going to ask there mentor, then I’ll see what he says. I’ll keep you in mind.
Lots of teams accept students from outside their district, but you may encounter some problems if you are located in another state. Many school boards have special requirements for insurance coverage, travel outside the state to competitions, meetings, etc., so be sure to keep that in mind also.
All right, sounds good, Keep in touch
Our school will allow students from out side the state.
Do you have to be in high school to participate in this program?
Depends on the school. My school allows students down to 8th grade to be on the FRC team (mostly because we need the manpower). Anyone else was out of luck until this year, when we started an FLL team. If you are in high school, I’d say that most schools would take you; if not in high school, talk to the team leader(s).
The webmaster says I could possibly, but he’s not entirely sure. He’s trying to get in touch with the mentor, and so am I, to ask him.
Depends on the team, we allow it but many dont (especially those with lego teams)
Just curious but what grade are you in?
I’m in 8th, 1 year before highschool, and the Mansfield Team looks like they can take me, but we have to get in touch with the mentor to see.
