My team is comfortable with vision code, and is interested in purchasing a webcam that breaks the 30 FPS threshold set by the Microsoft Lifecam 3000. Does anyone have any recommendations? The code is running on a Pi, so it needs to be compatible with that hardware. Thanks!
The old Playstation Eye Cam is able to do some very high framerates if you sacrifice quality. You can pick them up from Ebay or something.
I was going to recommend just that. It can reach up to 187FPS.
JeVois can hit 120FPS, and has some onboard processing abilities.
Also came here to say PS Eye cam. However, if you’re locked into raspberry Pi anyway, PiCam is likely a good option.
