In the rule book it says robots don’t shoot the high notes off the field or place them in any of the scoring areas, but it says nothing about the human player thowing it on the field and a robot shooting on the pegs. What are your thoughts . Correct me if I am wrong on this evaluation.
i didn’t see anything too but realistically it will probably be patched out in a team update
The closest we have to an answer currently is in section 6.1 Match Overview “Additional points are awarded if an ALLIANCE HARMONIZES (i.e. more than 1 ROBOT is ONSTAGE via the same chain) and if HUMAN PLAYERS SPOTLIGHT ROBOTS (i.e. score a HIGH NOTE on a MICROPHONE to increase points awarded for those ONSTAGE ROBOTS).”
It is specifically called out that Human Players are the ones that spotlight the robots by scoring the high note. I did have the same thought as you though, and it will probably be clarified in the upcoming updates.
High note is only for the human player during endgame.
Can you cite a specific rule that says this? Remember, the manual says not to assume intent or read into the rules past the plain meaning of the text. This may be modified in future team updates, but as it sits right now there is no rule stopping a robot from picking up a high note off the field and shooting it onto the microphone.
More dscussion on this here:
Gentle reminder to use the game manual terminology to limit confusion, e.g. Microphone, not peg.
The closest rule I found is
G408: ROBOTS, no HIGH NOTES. ROBOTS may not cause HIGH NOTES to leave the FIELD (including through an AMP or SPEAKER) or enter a TRAP.
Which doesn’t mean they can’t hit the Microphone…
I suspect this will be closed pretty quickly.
I’m aware, but the statement “ROBOTS, no HIGH NOTES” and the scoring only referencing human players indicate to me that it’s a definite no.
I could be wrong and agree that it will likely be clarified very soon.
