Highest Combined Score?

Does anyone know what the highest combined score of a match has been? I don’t see it on the blue alliance, but maybe I’m missing it.

We were in one in Lansing (Mason High School) in the semi-finals where we scored 447 against 445 and then 452 against 445.

I can confirm. Those are the two highest combined scores so far. Way to go!

The highest combined score that was a tie was in Iowa this weekend: 445 to 445 in Tiebreaker 2 (Playoff 18).

Derek

I sincerely hope that record stands forever.

The absolutely crazy part is that the #8 seed alliance teams are all on the bubble for making states. They might not even be there, which is … I don’t even know how to describe it.

Nobody is going to mention 495 during finals at hvr?!

man I’m tired just realized what the thread was about. But still…

That’s a great score, but what I mean is the combined score of both alliances. So 452+445= 897 > 791=495+296

Yea we’ve pretty much reached the conclusion that we probably won’t be making it to states. Really disappointing of course, but hey, crazier things have happened. All we can do now is wait and see. We currently have exactly the same number of district points as 1076, so if we make it they will too.

The current highest combined score is 2017milan_sf1m2, at 897. 2017milan_sf1m1 comes in a close second at 892.

2017iacf_sf2m2, 2017iacf_sf2m4, 2017iacf_sf2m6 all come in at 890, with all but the latter having identical match scores.

The only higher tie score I can think of would be if both teams did two rotors in auton (465-465), barring penalties and such.

Now, if two teams scored the exact same amount of fuel. Well… that would be something.

The Los Angeles Regional semifinals 1-3 was 451-445, combined score of 896, with no penalities. One of the closest and craziest matches I saw today.

NE DCMP SF1-2 had a penalty-free score 506-466 (combined 972).

All six teams have qualified for CMP.

About that…

Dead tie at 453-453. Decided by auto points.

Edit: I do believe this is the highest scoring tie.

On behalf of the previous record holding six teams, I’d like to congratulate the new six teams that smashed our record. Good luck at Champs you guys!

I’d also like use this space to congratulate the SVR winning alliance of 254-604-4990 for smashing the Alliance Average Score Record that my alliance held for one week. They averaged 483 across 6 matches vs our 445 in each of our 4 matches. Well done.

Finally, it is with sadness that I report that (at the current moment) 4/6 teams participating in the previous record match will not be competing at MSC this coming week (1076, 1504, 3322, & 3668), as only 302 and 2611 qualified based on pts. 1504 might sneak in if eight teams pass on the invitation. Sometimes that how the cookie crumbles.

A combined score of 985 was reached in match 1 of quarterfinal 1 and the New England DCMP.

2168, 195, and 1073 scored 515 with a 4 rotor, 50 kPa, triple climb
501, 131, and 6763 scored 470 with a 4 rotor, triple climb

That’s the record. However, there was a tech foul in that match.

Not quite the TOP combined score, but in the Pacific Northwest Final in Cheney, WA, Match 1 was 450 to 484, Match 2 was 452 to 471. Consecutive matches with combined scores of 934 and 923.

Final Match 1 (~3 minutes)

Final Match 2 (~3 minutes)

Thanks, Ether!! Love that data! Couldn’t open the Header file tho’?? and would like to get those Column Headings.
Looks like Bear Metal (#2046), their alliance partners, and worthy opponents, scored the 9th and 11th highest combined totals for a single match, and the 3rd highest sum for back-to-back matches, out of the whole database … is this worldwide data?

Thanks again for posting this data!

Never mind about the Headers. I got 'em in the Text File. Thanks!!

Not surprised to see qf3m2 from INDCMP in the top 20. I still say that is going to remain the highest scoring no-penalty tie in the world.
