Hiring a Full-Time FRC Build Mentor

The Chickasaw Nation Science, Technology, and Math Academy is hiring an Engineering and Design Mentor. The Engineering and Design Mentor’s main responsibilities are to be the build team leader for FRC team 2352, Metal Mayhem, and future FTC teams 4224 & 6780, Y-Not Robots.

What is unique about this position is that the STEM Academy is not a school, so our mentors are not required to do any classroom teaching. We teach STEM through robotics competition teams. The job is year round so in the summer we host robotics camps and classes along with a space and aviation camp.

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM related field
•2 years of FRC or FTC robot build experience as a mentor

Is Chickasaw Schools the same as in Alabama? I have a good friend that is doing great things in that State.
Sounds like a neat position where you can just focus on robotics. That’s hard to come by.

Funny, my aunt and uncle used to live in Ada. Only been there once or twice.

Correct, we are located in Ada, Oklahoma. It really is a rare position being focused on FRC and FTC without having to teach any in the classroom. That’s why I’ve been here for 11 years, but I focus on the programming side. Looking to hire someone with some FRC build experience.
