About: The i.am Angel Foundation administers charitable activities and programs for young people in underserved communities, targeted towards providing college scholarships, college preparation, and STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics).

Title: Executive Assistant/Program Manager

Role: As the Executive Assistant/Program Manager, you will provide program management, operational leadership, and administrative support for the i.am Angel Foundation. This includes the day to day operations, budgets, timelines, communication with relevant partners and ensuring all programs supported by the foundation are set up for sustainability and success. The Program Manager will also focus on fundraising for program continuation through grant writing and event planning support.

Responsibilities:

Program Coordination

  • Plan and manage all programs supported by the i.am Angel Foundation at the direction of senior staff.
  • Manage school district wide partnership focusing on STEM education/Robotics.
  • Managing scholarship information for students and delivery partners.
  • Reporting program status and successes on a regular basis.
  • Connecting with existing and new partners for program maintenance expansion.
  • Manage Requests and correspondence with organization partners.
  • Assist the Executive Director with administrative support.
  • Prepare reports, budgets, proposals and other documents as needed.
  • Manage various projects and other duties as assigned

Digital Management

  • Strategize content for social media and website publishing
  • Develop newsletters to be distributed to donors and partners
  • Capture picture and video content for organization’s archival use
  • Manage and upkeep foundation website via WordPress online platform
  • Tracking and organizing fundraising platforms for the foundation (GoFundMe, etc.)

Fundraising

  • Strategize and execute logistics for fundraising ideas and events
  • Research prospective new donors and prepare progress reports for ongoing donors.
  • Research and apply to grants throughout the calendar year

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 2+ years of experience in program management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Spanish speaking preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently, must be a self starter and able to work remotely.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and budgets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Must live in the LA area or surrounding regions with the ability to commute.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in planning and executing events, workshops and meetings
  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple priorities within tight timeframes and deadlines
  • Experience in managing multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment, requiring considerable coordination and timely follow through.
  • Skills in communications technologies, including website management oversight, video conferencing, e-mail and marketing platforms, social media platforms and the ability to prepare high quality PowerPoint presentations/video for partnership projects and outreach
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Suite is a plus
  • Experience with First Robotics and STEAM education in general is a big plus
  • Experience in Philanthropic work is welcome
