World Web Hosters

www.worldwebhosters.com

*Note that all their regular plans attached below has only ONE (1) mySQL account. You can get your domain through register.com (best way anyway).

I suggest getting their basic RESELLER plan: 5gb storage space, 20gb bandwidth, 10 domains allowed, and UNLIMITED mySQL databases and also:

Host multiple domains with no per domain fee
Unlimited POP3 email accounts
Web-based email
Catch-all email
FTP access
Host multiple Subdomains
PHP Support
Plesk control panel
Unlimited MySQL databases
FrontPage 2002 extensions
Web statistics
Apache ASP support
Password protected directories
CGI support
mod_perl support
Apache error docs
SSI support
Optional Customized Domain Registration Company
Many additional features and benefits

for $15/month… this took me quite a long time of research to find some host this good.

Dowhitcherself Hosting

http://localhost/

Cost for domain: buy it yourself

Hosting price: Nothing besides your ISP fee’s.

Setup fee: I bought a Pentium 133 for $15.

Extra features:

Uhh…anything you really want :stuck_out_tongue:

This is the hardcore, low-cost, insane hosting solution for teams with no money whatsoever. Find a kid on your team that has broadband and no major use for it…give him an old computer, and tell him he’s the master of the web. There…you have a webpage. :stuck_out_tongue:

(If you think I’m joking around…I’m really not. This seriously isn’t a bad way to do it. It’ll give a few of the kids a good idea of how a server actually works. It’s also so freaking cheap! You also don’t have to worry about going over your bandwidth limitations or sizes or anything like that. It’s not a very bad idea at all…)

Ooh yes, this works great, all except for the fact that it is most likely completely violating your agreement with your ISP seeing as basically any home ISP specifically states that you may not host servers off of your connection.

I’m using this…
http://www.cedant.com/services/plans/advanced.html

To make this…
http://www.vpgamers.com/

I’ve got no complaints.

I was just recently shown this really awesome webhost that was going to be recommended for a client, but unfortunately I lost the link. I’ll see if I can find it again.

hosting search engine (really great tool!):
http://findmyhosting.com

Good discussion forums about all web hosting.
That is how I found Ventures Online.

Hosts fight over you at: http://www.webhostingtalk.com (I’ve found all my hosting there).

Anyways, here are the hosts I currently use:

AlwaysWebhosting (My Personal Sites)
http://www.alwayswebhosting.com/
Domains (Purchased By Me): $14/per year
Cost for Hosting: $15.99/month
500mb space
60gb transfer
Unlimited domains
Great server cluster

Krellen (CogSquad Website)
http://www.Krellen.com/
Domains (Purchased by Team): $19/per year (I think)
Cost for Hosting: Free (They gave us free hosting sponsorship, reg $6.99/month)
250mb space
4gb transfer
Great Features

I can suggest either (But please, don’t swamp Krellen for free hosting, this was just a special thing I worked out with them).
