My team is looking for 10-11 rooms in Saint Louis. Another team in our area is also looking for 10 rooms. Any help is much appreciated!
You could try Courtyard by Marriott St Louis downtown/convention Center. As of yesterday or today they should have released about 10 or 15 rooms that we didn’t need. It’s not cheap but very close to the convention center.
I think your best bet is going to be staying out of the downtown area. Maybe not 30 minutes away, but not directly next to where champs will be taking place. I would start searching anywhere west or so of the St. Louis Zoo, considering downtown is booked inside out. Again it won’t be the most convenient, but it’ll cost less than downtown and actually offer the rooms you need. From here, I suggest you just go to google maps and look at anything in that area previously mentioned. Hope it helps, and see you there!
Last year we stayed at the Pear Tree Inn by the airport. The hotel was good and not too expensive. We took the train to get to the Edward Jones Dome. The daily commute took about 30 minutes - it was a bit long, but tolerable.
The Innovators will be staying at the Doubletree in Collinsville, Ill. We know other teams are there also but due to privacy laws they can not tell us who they are. PM me and we can try to set up some social time between teams.
If you are still looking for rooms (or anyone that is) it looks like the team I was planning on transferring* my block to was able to find hotels on their own so I have 14 quad rooms at the Crowne Plaza Downtown available from Tuesday - Sunday for 136/night/room. Please DM me if you are interested.
*For those not familiar with Experient, at this point you can not transfer room blocks, but you can change the contact person.
We are releasing 10 rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott/Downtown/convention center. They are all single King bed rooms.
Good Luck
From Frank’s Blog: St Louis Housing
FIRST Championship, St Louis Housing through Experient closes at Midnight, Eastern Time on Monday, April 17th. (Midnight meaning the midnight between 4/17 and 4/18). If you are already registered for the St Louis Championship, and don’t yet have your housing, now would be a good time to get it! If you are one of the many teams who will be qualifying for St Louis this weekend, you should sign up for that housing as soon as you can. Once housing access through Experient closes, you will find the prices for rooms at the hotels Experient had provided access to under this program rising significantly, as rooms will be in high demand, and the hotels will no longer need to stick with the contractually-obligated prices FIRST established.
