Houston Week -6 MCC Event This Sunday!

This Sunday, January 13th Team 118, The Robonauts will be hosting a Week -6 event at our facility. This event is a evolution of last year’s Minimum Competitive Concept Competition organized by FRC Team 4587, Jersey Voltage and hosted by FRC Team 1477, Texas Torque.

The robots competing at this event are built in 1 week by Team Week 6, Team 12th Hour, Texas Torque’s Caprisun, and Team 118’s Everybot group.

The event will be live streamed on First Updates Now at [https://www.twitch.tv/firstupdatesnow] on January 13th starting around 3pm US eastern.

We are also planning to have a 360 degree video stream of the event and match video will be uploaded afterwards.

Can’t wait to tune in! What time?

Matches should start around 2pm central time and end around 6pm.

What time will the matches end?

Is it possible for mentors from other Houston affiliated teams to attend

Unfortunately, due to the event being held at a government facility, visitor passes are required and we only have enough for the teams competing at the event.

No government shutdown? :upside_down_face:

Is there an archive of this event somewhere?

Can’t be an archive until the event has happened! It’s scheduled for 2PM CST today.

The webcast is online! Matches starting soon. Https://www.twitch.tv/firstupdatesnow

Thanks for having this event. Interesting to see that both of the Everybots were the most effective from what I could see (and really came into their element after the other teams left?).

Definitely will be Cargo everywhere and at least a few dropped Hatch Panels.

Thanks, misread the title.

The other teams had mechanical issues with their robots. They were frantically trying to repair their robots before the event ended but unfortunately, they were unable to.

Where will the video stream be uploaded?

Should have individual matches up tonight or tomorrow morning. Twitch saved VoD for 6 weeks twitch.tv/firstupdatesnow

Cool Thanks

I have clipped and uploaded 11 matches to the FUN YouTube page. Most did not have audio so I put some in. Match 5 does have commentary.

Thanks for everyone who watched and to FRC118 especially Ryan for making this happen. We had a huge turnout and with all the difficulties I am glad to see that they were able to run an event/webcast in the first place and play 11 matches!
