On the subject of racing, we should race robots. Teams should start competitions during the summer where we build adittional robots (but not necesarily according to FIRST rules) which are made for speed. It would be like a way of trying out a new transmission concept. Anyway, you can make a robot go about 30 ft/sec pretty easily. And that’s pretty fast.
wow! you must have pulled this thread out of a coffin
Ya Race bots… Like my hoverbot
The fastest robot ever!
you know you can gear a robot with a 3 speed tranny to go about 70 ft/sec (46mph) or more? It can’t weigh 130 lbs though.
Can I use my R/C car?
Shure why not?

Parts of it…
… I had a gas-powered RC car once - went 50mph and was insanely hard to control at that speed. Lol. So that’s about … 73.333333 feet a second.
Thats great bring them
But its called hoverbot races for a reason
how did you make the hoverbot? what are some specs? I remember i made a hovercraft a while ago, it wasn’t fast, but it was like 4 feet in diameter, and could hold my weight.
Well, Tytus, you’d need to make a more specific list of rules/allowed parts for the hovercraft… There’s gotta be a standard. Not that I’m going to race anyway.
just throw ont togeather
its not hard
I used an isac, a victor an Fp motor, 3 muffin fans, and a Servo, and the rest is junk i had lieing around
^^^ ive had this discussition before
