How about those prediction of this year's game?

So, I assume everyone know what’s this year’s game is… It seems pretty close to some prediction out there. Especially the big balls and ramp/fence of Joe Johnson. And I say the ramp is really similar to Nick’s puck where it’s constantly tipping on the side. Now is the time for you people to show off about how your predictions match the game this year.

some predictions…

  1. not 1 match will go for the entire 2 minutes

  2. there will never be a perfect score

  3. there will never be a zero score

  4. divisions @ nationals will be a big success

  5. scores of 500 will be routine

  6. 4 vs 0 will not be as bad as it seems (i hope)

  7. this years nat’l champ alliance will have at least 3 members whom have never won nat’l championships before

  8. less than 10% of teams will be able to climb over 18" bar

  9. george w will be in attendence for the finals

EEW. Dont want to even think about that…you know, I just spent HOURS prepping for a presentation of this game (BTW, my promo prep-time usually takes seconds), and I dont think it went as well as I wanted. But, oh well, what can I do?

Lol, and if you think the game is hard to explain it to adults, imagine explaining it to little kids ::cringe::

: some predictions…

: 1) not 1 match will go for the entire 2 minutes

At nationals, we might just see this…early at regionals, however, I have a feeling that people will still be getting used to the game, so you’ll see more people going the full length.

: 2) there will never be a perfect score

I’d definitely agree with this one…as I posted elsewhere, Eric’s not expecting it either…

: 3) there will never be a zero score

We’ll have to see on this one, i dunno…

: 4) divisions @ nationals will be a big success

I’d say so…

: 5) scores of 500 will be routine

I haven’t taken much time to figure out scoring yet…still too early to post one way or the other on this one…

: 6) 4 vs 0 will not be as bad as it seems (i hope)

I’d say so…I got to thinking about this last night…you’re still competing against people, just not at the same time!

: 7) this years nat’l champ alliance will have at least 3 members whom have never won nat’l championships before

Thought about this one too…who sees the elim alliances consisting of 4+ specialized machines, and not any “do-alls”…

: 8) less than 10% of teams will be able to climb over 18" bar

No comment…except that I’m already working on this problem…

: 9) george w will be in attendence for the finals

Who knows on this one…

What I was driving at there, was that every match will be stopped with 1 second left to get the 1.5x multiplier. I don’t see all matches finishing in 60 seconds, and very few stopping in 30. I expeect to see many many matches last 1:59.
