How can I mount this gearbox?

I am designing a mechanism that uses the WCP GreyT elevator. In their CAD, the gearbox is mounted like this:

To have room for a mechanism I want to put on the elevator, I need to mount the gearbox on the opposite side (on the same side as the chain and sprocket). What would be a good mounting solution for this? The elevator would be mounted to the robot similarly to how it is in WCP’s mounting example, shown below:

I’m new to robot design, so apologies if my question lacks details or seems unclear. Please feel free to let me know if I missed anything important.

It’s difficult to tell here but likely the easiest method is to run the motors mounted parallel to the chain axel and either chain or gear the gear box to the main chain axel. This will require designing a custom gear box, but shouldn’t be difficult with an elevator reduction.

If I am understanding this correctly, in order to mount the gearbox on the same side as the chain, you could make some spacers, and flit the plate to the other side:

I drew the flipped bracket in red, with a standoff being in black. How the standoffs would function with the chain is on the left, chain being between standoffs. Without knowing the exact CAD, this is the easiest solution I can find

I generally agree with finice here. Just make some longer standoffs. Cherro or similar should work just fine as long as the ends are cut square. The chain does not need to move, the gearbox just needs to be offset enough to make room for the chain.
