Has someone found a way to consistently throw the object long distance at the source station?
Are you talking about the HIGH NOTES? We’ve found that they fly quite consistently, but it does take some practice to get good.
If you’re talking about introducing the NOTES through the SOURCE… I think the intent of the design from FIRST was to make sure you couldn’t consistently get them halfway across the field - it makes for a better game if the robots have to do full cycles and can’t shortcut it.
Get penalties…
Source requires you to send it through the Chute, or get penalized appropriately.
If you’re talking about High Notes from the Amp, think Frisbee to start and then practice.
I’m not talking about the HIGH NOTES. Yes, you are right, but as we see in the field tour videos, the note jumps when left as it is. My goal is to ensure that the note is away from the wall and to do this while the robot is close to the source station.
