How d you absorb vibrations on your robot?

We might run a compressor on board, and I’m worried about the gyro (pidgeon 2)!

Any recommendations to keeping the impact at a minimum?

You could install it on these . Rubber vibration dampening feet

The compressors come with rubber isolated mounting bushings. We mounted directly to a frame member last year and noticed no issues with our NavX.

Last year our team had a flywheel and a compressor (with the rubber feet). The flywheel caused significantly more vibrations than the compressor did (to the point of wires and well-snugged nylocs coming apart). Even this had no meaningful impact on our gyro. The compressor did basically nothing bad except make noise.

Point being, the compressor is no big deal, and if it’s running long enough for its vibrations to be even remotely significant, you probably have a leak somewhere.
