How do I set up the AXIS webcam?

I am currently trying to set up our team’s vision tracking camera. We have the software from NI to set up our Axis camera. It asks to set it up with Robot Radio, or with the CRIO. If we are wanting to program the camera in LabVIEW which should we use. I hear that using LabVIEW, it uses the D-Link.

I can’t think of any reason to set up the camera to connect directly to a cRIO. Connect it to the D-Link robot router; it’ll end up with an IP address of 10.40.96.11 when configured properly.

Connect your AXIS Camera to the Computer, using a cross over cable. If you’ve already tried to configure your AXIS camera, I recommend resetting the AXIS camera by disconnecting power, hold the reset button on the back while you apply power. Release the button when the light around the lens turns amber. Configure your computer ip to 192.168.0.51. Open up the AXIS Setup Tool, select Robot Radio and enter your team name. Your AXIS camera should be configured to 10.40.96.11. Test the connection by opening up the default dashboard, and connect your AXIS camera to the D-Link router.

Feel free to send me a PM if this doesn’t work.

Also, I have customized the vision tracking tutorial .vi to work with the dashboard. I recommend doing this as it will take a ton of load off the CPU on the cRIO.
