How do we get the contact bearing out of our mk4 modules?

We are trying to get the bearing out of plate to clean, but it will not come out. Are there any recommended methods to get the bearing out without hurting the bearing or the plate?mk4_contact_bearing

I would solvent wash and re-lube in position! No value in pulling it out!

That said, heat it up and the fit will loosen. You could 3dp a plug to just clear the hole in the plate and press with that. Or turn one out of almost anything. I’m betting that is a pretty light press fit.

For lube super lube is usually a good choice

For solvent isopropyl alcohol 91% is a good, inexpensive choice.

I’d use brake cleaner, but it’s a preference thing. Don’t use a parts washer on bearings; the solvent is too dirty.
I’d think about some grease. Squash it in all over, spin, wipe, spin, wipe.
