How do you do an FRC Elevator?

Our team has not done an elevator in many years.
While we have designed an FTC elevator, we don’t understand how to properly attach three stages of an elevator together and nobody on our team has much knowledge of them. Could anybody explain to us how you attach the bars together?

As far as attaching stages, here are some snippets from a favorite elevator of mine.

To make it more clear what’s happening here, the inner most stage is fixed to the frame, while the outer stages travel up. The carriage (not shown here) is the outer-most stage, with a continuous line that runs the elevator.

There is example CAD of a 2 stage and 3 stage elevator on CRP’s website. This shows the structure and bearings but not the rigging. The rigging can be handled as shown in @Attention’s reply.

It may be a good idea to watch the 973 Ramp videos.

Another great resource to learn how an elevator works is 1678’s robot CAD from 2018
