So, I have seen other teams with black bumpers and was wondering what fabric they get and what colors are technically legal. I have read through the game manuals and the how-to bumpers multiple times but only found two or three fabric color options, and both aren’t very black. Any help in this matter would be appreciated. Thanks!
Black bumpers aren’t legal for in season competition.

Many teams make show or practice bumpers of different colors but they are not legal for competitions. .

There are some teams that use a very dark blue that looks black especially on video.

For in-season competition, this has been discussed many times. Yes, teams like 118 and 1323 legally run VERY dark blue bumpers. Many people wish there was a more consistent standard.

its not really black, its just a super dark blue
thats at least what we / 148 does iirc
While slightly darker they are definitely blue on video and in person

yep, this is what 5895 has done in the past
we didn’t have the super dark bumpers this year because of an issue with ordering the fabric iirc.

yes. you are correct sir. 148 is the gold standard of blue/black bumpers.
(118 is the gold standard of gold/white)
Saw this image and got 555 flashbacks to Peddie obliterating all other robots in its path during DCMP.

obliterating is a bit of a stretch… if I recall correctly, finals 3 was nail bitingly close…
