How Far Is Your Team?

I am wondering how far each team has gotten so far after 4 weeks just follow the poll question, thanks

Not far enough, but making progress.

We have a much more complicated Chassis design this year than in years past, and our parts are taking their time getting here. Our shooter works. We haven’t been able to test our pickup on the actual robot because…our chassis is only half built so far.

However, we had a week of snow up here in Seattle, which slowed our progress. We should have been at this point almost a week ago.

Hopefully by tomorrow we can get our separate robot parts (shooter/elevator and drivetrain/ball collector) together as one and driving! From there, it’s all fine-tuning, adjustment, and driver practice!

You have just summed up every team’s week five.

Our drive chassis is working fine, and the code seems to be good too, but we still need to finish the ball tower in the center. We’ll be testing our shooter this week.

What poll?

Here’s how we are doing…:ahh:

I beg to differ, my team (1296) has our driving base and elevator system. Our collaborative shooter with team 3310 is currently being made by our wonderful sponsors over at SPM and we hope to have that by Thursday. This will leave us with the weekend and all next week to practice and troubleshoot.

We are officially behind schedule… but the schedule had us finishing build tomorrow  So far…

  • chassis/drive train is finished.
  • 2/3 of our belting is finished.
  • The shooter is finished.
  • The bridge manipulator is started.
  • The electrical board is finished.*
  • The OI will be finished tonight.
  • Programming has full PID driving working
  • Vision tracking (both angle and distance) is working (although we still need to tie that into automated shooting)
  • Initial version of all the code is finished.

*Pending changes to the bridge manipulator which may require additional/different components

So, we’re sitting pretty nice right now. Programming should have the robot this weekend, giving us a full week of debugging, driver practice, and robot beautification before the pre-ship (pre-bag? what are we calling them now?) scrimmage.

we are pretty much done, just have some small tweaks to do. Camera code and such.

We are sitting pretty nice right now.
programming needs to continue to improve and get wrapped up, other than that we are doing pretty well ready to get practice time in and stuff.

We are re-evaluating our goals as far as long-range vs short-range shooting. We are also woefully behind on code. Our chassis is pretty much done, we figured out our digital-sidecar is kaput yesterday.

We do have a rolling-chassis and we have practiced balancing (simulating the weight using batteries).

Team 1466

We have our chasis built and it drives.
i am actually single handedly building our pickup mechanism with little help from team mentors. this should be done by thurs of next week and by the following week our shooting mechanism to be tested and shipped by the 18th. hopefully!:ahh: but no promises.

Definitely echoing this sentiment here. We’ll make it, everything’s coming along, but I sure wish we were closer to completion right now.

Although electrical is coming along beautifully. I can’t wait until our controls lead lets me post pictures.

Our robot is assembled and is mechanically able to drive and shoot. However, the programming isn’t done yet, with lots of work still to do there. Additionally, we will be rewiring our electrical board entirely for both neatness as well as the use of CAN bus. Overall, though, we are on or slightly ahead of schedule.

lol bill we still have to find a driver and improve the bridge manipulator and that shooter delay thing we still got a ways to go :stuck_out_tongue:

We have a working frame and drive train. Almost finished with our collector, but we are constantly waiting for parts for our shooter. We have yet to even have a function shooter.
