With out bumpers battery and in real life
With out bumpers battery and in real life
With or without bumpers and battery? In cad or in real life right now?
Ours was just over 100lbs with all the upper chassis parts piled on top of the lower chassis. We wanted to know if we had to do any lightening before assembling everything. It was quite the sight when the head coach walked in to see everything piled up
without want to know how many people are toeing the line between legal and not the poll, as of right now, confirms my guess that robots will be heavier this seaosn(nvm bruh).
33 lb steel bellypan does its job
Does it have to be done? It’s like 70 lbs right now?
In CAD, 120 usually.
In real life, about 130.
At competition, full of holes: 124.999.
This is truly astounding, but it’s looking to be < 90! Without any possible ballast/weighting.
We are at 87 lbs fully built without bumpers. Still have 33 lbs to play with.
Really?!? With all the current rules and COTS you still end end up overweight?
This used to be an issue every year but now I’m shocked if we break 100 with no ballast on the robot.
I know last year we were really surprised when we weighed ours and it was under 100lbs. We were always at that point of drilling holes to lighten it up every year. We ended up putting a steel bellypan on it and still could’ve put more ballast on it and probably should have.
We’re currently about 75lbs, we’ll likely bring that up a bit as we adjust our center of gravity for climbing. Who knows, we may eventually use some of that weight to go for the trap!
You all have robots to weigh?
Our “Alpha” bot is currently sitting around 72 lbs, that’s without our “climbing mechanism”. But we don’t suspect that will be much more weight.
Gonna add some ballast most likely somewhere.
We’re specificly building to be heavy lol as we bought l1s by accident
How much do electrons weigh? Our robot only exists in a virtual environment…
Im doing estimates of real life based on cad lol
Just weighed ours today (without the climber, which will add about 15 lbs total).
Lightest robot we’ve ever built!
Thats why I said a chassis with all future parts piled on top of it.
You have parts?
