How many 2x4s in your robot this year?

How many wood 2x4s have your snuck into your robot this year? We’re up to six, and haven’t started on the climber yet. Two inside the bottom ends of the box that hold it together and to the chassis, two blocks at the arm pivots, and two that mount the lower ends of the cylinders and gas springs. We have been hustling to get this much done, with just a few students and not much meeting time. Screwing in a block of wood sure goes quicker than fabricating metal parts, with our limited machining capability.

Hopefully we’ll be playing with Cargo with it soon.

This sounds like a challenge to see how many you can hide in there, I know what I am doing next week

Not enough tbh

I’m jealous of your low goal arm design. Very simple and elegant. Far fewer headaches than our design, currently.

Thank you. We spent some time trying to keep it to a minimum…I hope it works as well as we want it to.

Almost one.

Prototypes and field elements: A LOT.
Everything else: It’s a software problem if there is one.
