Team 535 can score in both endzones while sitting in the middle of the field.
Who else can?

Congrats! GL at the regionals. Just remember, dont forget that someone might ram you and tip you over while you r sitting in the middle.
We also plan to have two goals in our grasp
Good luck on trying to tip us. I doubt very much another robot can tip us anyways. We are low to the ground, have slanted sides and a mean right hook

team 25 can do it easily
What can Team 25 do easily? Score in both endzones or tip us over?

Seems to me that a simple question regarding the number of teams that can do something extraordinary is heading towards dark waters. Team 25 warns the other, “Be careful you could get tipped over or rammed” Team 535 takes that as a threat and responds - Team 25 responds “the rules say its okay” - Team 535 says “don’t treaten me buddy” etc, etc, etc …
Chill out guys -
Wayne was asking a simple question, lets stay “on Topic” - If you want to argue strategy, start a thread on the strategy board, but lets not get into it here.
Wayne, our team cannot do what your team can - congrats on figuring out how to do it! Hope it works, if we get to be partners.
I hope cooler heads prevail and tipping over is by accident, not on purpose (whats the point?)
As Team 25’s keeper- let me say
No threats are made here. Nuggets simply answered the question- yes- our machine can reach both end zones at once.
We have no intention of tipping over machines.
And we took the arc welder off the front of the bot last week…
Just kidding. Lighten up!

sorry guys for being vage. no we are not going out to tip people. What i meant, since the topic was who can reach both endzones is we can reach both endzones without a problem
We made a a thing that can reach itself into the endzone from 28 feet, but we had to scrap it because the robot was already too heavy
We can. (not tip, but steer our way to victory in both zones:))
We had a device that could go into to both endzones but we had to scrap it to due to weight. Our device was really unique compared to what I have seen in the Pic. Gallery. In fact when we asked the FIRST officials a question pertaining to our device. They got a little concerned (they said no other team had asked that question yet). Well, now its gone, I wish the weight restrictions were were at least 135 (that’s all we needed). Mabye FIRST will change the restrictions next year(I dout it though)
We assigned several of the veterans for soley the task of being in both end zones at once, and we think our method will woek well. We will just have to find out though. by the way, our whole “extend thirty feet in a few seconds” component weighs 5 pounds!!
Would anyone care to post stuff about how they go about scoring in this way? I’d like to see this…188 looked at this idea and then scrapped it because the rules were too vague, and because of weight considerations.
We have a thirty feet long fiberglass strip that wants to be flat, but it is able to be coiled around a 3 feet diameter, so it fits in the box. We then use thw window motor to pull the fiberglass out and push it to the other side.
an arm like that sounds like it could intangtle another robot. I could be wrong i just can not picture something that roles out like that. Do you have a pic or movie of it
I saw one team do this with a mirco-bot attached via a tether to their mother ship. All I have to say is “did anyone feel that bump?” when we drive over your tether and crush whatever is attached to the far end.
And if by chance we become entangled by your tether, I hope theres no hard feelings when you get DQ’d.

Good luck getting entangeled in four foot lengths of 1/4" PVC.
As to the runner itself, its manuvable, and faster than you.

It does not matter if he run you over or not if it could cause intangtle then you get DQ. I hate to see all these team get DQ.
The “possibility of entanglement” is assesed during the inspection. Once the match starts, it’s whether or not you actually entangle another team.

As another member of GRT, I can say that our “proboscus” would be very hard to be intangled in. Like Max said, it wants to be flat, and it’s less than an eighth on an inch thick and about a half inch wide. Any robot should be able to drive over it very easily with out getting intangled!
Sorry, we aren’t showing any pics till Houstan when everyone can see our bot!
