How much force to push the ramp?

Engineer on team #190, Gompei, from Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science and WPI.

So many have already built fields or had the opportunity to play with one at kickoff–

About how much force do you think need to be applied to push the ramp down? (i.e. if you need to reset the ramp such that you can drive over, and it’s “up” on your side"

How bout lifting it? That would be equal to the downward force at that point-- but does anyone have weight specs… or estimates… to get a rough idea?

I attended the kickoff and found the amount of force required to “switch” the position of the unloaded bridge to be relitively minor compared to the possibility of the force required if another robot is on the far end, especially if I’m not applying the force at the very end of the bridge. It could be 130 lbs or more ! Yikes !
