I was messing around on CD today and noticed that my signature hadn’t been updated in a year.
How often do you update yours?
Do you notice other people signatures or with your hyper reading you skip to the next post?
Do you use signatures as a way to understand where a poster is coming from?
Are you happy that CD limits signatures or should you be allowed to post huge graphics in it?
I guess I should look at it one day, and see what it says My recollection is that it’s been a few years.
I need to update it again, since my volunteer badge went away with NEMO. Just haven’t looked for another user bar.
I guess never, before today.
Found one I liked and stuck with it.
I updated it last about a year or so ago, but I don’t expect doing so again any time soon.
I generally don’t read them.
I like Jeremy Germita’s the best.
If it was any more translucent it would be clear.
One part (the event and mileage count) gets updated a few times a year, usually after a mass of events.
Creative signatures get noticed, others get ignored. It varies.
Sometimes they show insight into the person, but a couple bland userbars say very little.
The signature limits came for a reason, and I’m glad they’re there. Even if it did mean I had to switch to a Google sheet to fit all the events in rather than one big long strikeout.
I fret all too much about mine, and I always wonder “is this too much” or “should I gloat about myself more”, and it’s really always a never-ending battle.

During Tour Season I update it after I attend an event.
Once or twice a year, usually based on when inspiration hits or I realize something there has changed.
Mostly I jump over them unless I notice something changed, and I somewhat regularly look at the stuff both above and below the message for context.
Glad for the limits; it already gets annoying when signatures take up more room than the headers and bodies of posts.
I don’t have a signature. and if I do. Do I need to update it from time to time? ::ouch::
I haven’t paid much attention to it and see that I haven’t updated it in YEARS! :eek:
I’m not as active as I used to be on here but still around and pop in from time to time. Life has become much busier and I mostly use Facebook now to keep in contact with team members. 
I’ll put updating my sig on my list of “to do’s”
Good news, your To-do list just got shorter! As far as I understand, the new forum software “Discourse” will not have user signatures.
