I am thinking to Increase the rate ouput from Input Gear single-stage CIMple Box: From - CIM Gear, 12 tooth, 0.315 inch bore w/ 2mm keyway (2)
Output Gear: 56 tooth, 1/2 inch hex bore.
Any idea who to change to receive high SPEED output.
My equation is who to attaching the 56 tooth to the Cim M, and the CIM Gear 12 tooth to the output
Are you working on a mechanism to shoot the game piece?
We did something like that, but we used sprockets and chain instead of gears. An AndyMark hub is on the CIM motor, and the sprocket bolts to the hub. There is also a sprocket on the wheel. The wheel is mounted on an axle bolt.
If this is what you are doing, please careful! spinning the wheel that fast could make it come apart and hurt someone.
Yes we are working on a mechanism to shoot the game piece
we wont to use the mini CIM motor.
spinning the wheel that fast could make it come apart and hurt someone. No problem by the cod we wont to regulate for 3 speed!
Can you send me a picture for “used sprockets and chain instead of gears. An AndyMark hub is on the, and the sprocket bolts to the hub.”
here is a picture. But I see today the Andy Mark hub with the 8mm keyed hole is OUT OF STOCK! Sorry.
Yes Now I understood what you mean, Just question of my poor English language
Hi,
What size hole did you tap into the end of the CIM shaft.
And how deep did you tap it?
We are doing the same, but using hardened 440 for a hole small enough to avoid running into the keyway on the shaft.
Looks like you have used something bigger.
Thanks
We did not tap the end of the CIM shaft, we just made an adapter with a .316" hole in it, and 1/2" OD, to fit in the old AndyMark hub we had. We drilled and tapped the side of the hub (that you can’t see) for a 10-32 setscrew. And we filed a flat on the motor shaft for the set screw to have something to seat against. It’s not a good way to do this, this is only a prototype for testing.
Also you need a guard around the shooter wheel, do not run it until you have something there to protect yourself.
