Yeah, you can connect to tube stock using those 4 holes.

Specifically, those tapped holes are 10-32 threads on a 2" bolt circle. This lines up so that you can put two screws in through extrusions like this with 0.5" holes spacing, or three if you offset the gearbox centerline to the extrusion centerline. You’ll never be able to use all 4 holes on 2" wide extrusion unless you turn the gearbox 45degrees and drill new holes in the extrusion that match.
