How to Control NEO's on a Turreted Launcher

If we want to mount two NEO motors on a turreted shooter what is the best way to drive them. Sparks Mounted on or off the turret, Star Configuration Canbus? (don’t think this works because of stub length), Extended Encoder wires for Sparks mounted of the turret, etc. I am curious what options there are for any of these problems or any other problems there may be.

Edit - what is the best way to carry wires to a turret? I’ve seen igus chain that does it but looks bigger and bulky. I have also seen a flexible wrap like the one on 971’s robot in 2017. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59zGltwCBnU

Of the available options, I think the best method is to put all your motor controllers on the turret and terminate the CAN bus up there as well.
