This happened at the MN State High School Robotics Championship tourney last Saturday:
I must say those are some truly epic shots. I think that inbounder could play some professional basketball later in life! Good job!
He also scored all of the points for his alliance.
Anyone got stats on this inbounder’s OPR?
Ironic how the OPs team name matches the video…
Wow to the shooting. We have a HP who regularly scored 2’s per match but that is insane! One ball every 5 seconds? Crazy. (And yes, that does mean the Blue Alliance here should be receiving credit for making this exhibition possible.)
Well it looks like that guy’s…takes off glasses…inconceivable.
Not sure who’s inbounder it was, but the teams on the field for that match were:
Red: 2450, 3840, 2825
Blue: 3277, 2883, 2169
It has been suggested it was 2450’s inbounder.
Wish it had been our inbounder We were not on the field for that match. We did win one match due to our inbounder hitting a 3.
We (Inconceivable) placed a GoPro camera behind the 3 point backboard on each end of the field, with the permission of the FTA and the state planning committee. So we’re just the source of the video…
We meant the name Inconceivable describing what happened in the video…
We like our team name… It was appropriate in the early years when our robot was Inconceivable for the wrong reasons, and it fits us now that we have pretty decent robots that can do things like this year’s 4 point double shot from just beyond half court.
This guy seems like a beast! He probably plays Basketball in addition to doing robotics.
I will confirm that it’s 2450’s inbounder. This is the best human performance this year, if not all years.
Great performance? Yes. Of all time in FIRST? Sorry friend, I’m going to disagree with you. 2009 was the year of the human player. There were many human players who could consistently out score many robots. Not only that, the GDC put a 15 point game changer ball in their hands during the last period if the game.
2004 was the year of the human player the only way balls could be scored was if the HP threw them into one of the goals…
This video is currently listed as one of the top viewed videos on youtube. Not really sure why, but I wouldn’t complain much.
Proof

Other than it brings out the general public YouTuber comments…
It’s now the 3rd most viewed. And a bunch of random youtubers are disliking the video.
I never did understand the point of that… But the again, my rookie year of FRC and FIRST was 2008.
Weird, every time I look, I don’t see it on the most viewed list… My suspicion is that Google is doing FIRST a favor an inserting it on the most viewed list occasionally for random people or something…
